Good News

I have a training partner! As it turns out, one of the other project managers is planning to do Kilimanjaro this summer so I have someone to work out with. And to compare trekking boots with and discuss dietary programmes and all that boring sh*t. And he also smokes so we'll coordinate our quit dates as well.

Anyway, at least this way I won't be slogging my way up Ben Nevis or Snowdon all by myself.

Mwahahaha!

I know it's mean but I've threatened to stop off in Bangalore or Chennai to visit my offshore teams since I'll probably have to switch plains in Delhi. I told them I'll have travelled over 6,000 miles, what's another 2,000? I'm a woman who's planning to climb to Everest Base Camp so what's a little sidetrip to me? I hope I have them worried.

I hadn't thought of that...

Slight spanner in the works with regard to my training programme...

As I've mentioned here before, a key element of my training programme is walking up and down the 9 flights of stairs to my office at least 5x per day. Well children, that's been fine and dandy up until today. But today Brussels got VERY warm indeed. And there's no aircon in the stairwell.

In short, I only made it up and down for 3 trip today. This is not good and I hope it's just a matter where the client hasn't yet changed the settings in the building for the new season.

And the quotes are in!

I know I haven't posted in a bit but things have been happening nonetheless. The quotes for the trip are now in and more news should be happening this or next week.

Meanwhile, get your thinking caps on - what stunts do you want me to perform at EBC? For corporate sponsorship of £1k, I am willing to have a stunt documented at EBC as long as it doesn't involve something ridiculous like body modification or nudity. Those cost extra. ;-)
